A Brief History
This notable Jersey City landmark was first occupied by volunteer firefighters in 1855. In 1871 it became headquarters for Engine Company 3 and the Battalion Chief until, in 1961, the building was sold for private ownership.
In 2016 the building underwent a renovation and modernization, still preserving and restoring many of its original historic features including tin walls/ceilings as well as battalion chief office and more.
In more recent history, the building has also been home to a Jersey Shore spin-off tv show.
